SOPA, which was introduced by Lamar Smith and 12 other co-sponsors is a bill raised in United States House of Representatives to stop online piracy and trafficking intellectual property. This will ruin the dream of Tim Berners Lee of the Internet. The Internet, what we know today is in the infancy stage and has long way to go.
Internet was made open for all. The content should be free, the entire knowledge of the human race should be at one place. This was the ethics behind the Internet, Wikipedia and the open source community.
If bills like, SOPA comes into existence then it will change the face of the Internet. It'll push us decade back. The countries like China has already shown such attempts in blocking sites for it's citizen.
